Our story began at work, though it wasn’t exactly a cinematic meet-cute—mostly because she was a busy auditor marching by, and I was just a trainee who was completely invisible to her. When we finally went on our first date to an animal cafe, she brought her niece along as a tiny chaperone. Despite the unexpected plus-one, we had an absolute blast playing with the animals and getting to know each other. However, I knew this relationship was truly something special during a trip to a cave, when I caught her having a genuine, full-blown conversation with a rock. It was quirky, hilarious, and the exact moment I realized I was completely in love.

These days, you can usually find us on a shared mission: hunting down rare Pokémon cards, scouting out the best food spots in town, or going on dedicated dessert runs. When it finally came time to ask her to marry me, I planned a romantic "Dining in the Dark" experience. Of course, I wisely waited until we were safely outside in the light to actually get down on one knee and pop the question—because there was absolutely no way I was going to risk her dropping the ring in the pitch black! We have built a relationship full of laughter, great food, and unexpected adventures, and we can't wait to start this next chapter with all of our favorite people.
